Non-Executive Chairman

Brad Miocevich – BCom, FAICD

Brad Miocevich was responsible for propeller design and manufacturing technology and marketing.
He now acts in an advisory capacity providing important strategic input and has been involved both operationally and in a management capacity with the Company since 1982.

Managing Director

Mark David Miocevich – BAppSc(Mech Eng), FIEAust

Mark Miocevich is responsible for the overall performance of the Company and for the leadership of the management team in achieving the objectives of the Board. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Mechanical Engineering), is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia and has had extensive experience in engineering and manufacturing.
Mark has been involved in management and operations with the Company since 1982.

Non-Executive Director

Ian Barsden – CA

Ian is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and is a former partner of HLB Mann Judd Accountants, Business and Financial Advisers (Perth division). He brings over 30 years’ experience in the accounting profession advising and consulting to a wide variety of businesses and industries as to business structuring, taxation and financial management. Ian has provided accounting and financial advisory services to VEEM as a consultant since 1980 and became an employee of the Company in 2011.

Independent Non-Executive Director

Peter Torre – B.Bus (Accounting), CA, AGIA

Peter has 20 years of corporate advisory experience. He holds a Bachelor of Business, is a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Secretary and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Peter is currently the company secretary for several ASX listed companies. He was a partner of an internationally affiliated firm of chartered accountants, working within its corporate services division for over nine years where he also held the position of Chairman of the National Corporate Services Committee.

Independent Non-Executive Director

Mike Bailey – MSc, CEng, MRINA

Mr Bailey is a professional mechanical engineer and naval architect with experience in both military and commercial sectors, including projects with the Royal Navy and Royal Australian Navy.
In Western Australia, he is best known as a Director of AMC Management between 2001 and 2022. AMC Management oversaw the operational management, business development and infrastructure expansions of the Common User Facility within the Australian Marine Complex at Henderson, south of Fremantle in Perth, Western Australia on behalf of the Government of Western Australia. Since opening in 2003 the facility has surpassed all expectations, generating around $3 billion for the local economy and creating more than 37,400 jobs through some 417 projects.
From 1990-1997, Mr Bailey was Group Contracts and Marketing Manager at VEEM. He was responsible for business development, contracts and tenders. Contracts included manufacturing, repair and conversion scopes for the Royal Australian Navy. He was also General Manager, Defence Division at VEEM.
